Caroline Cofoid

Caroline Cofoid, a Senior Honors student in the Dept of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, has been working on her thesis with Dr. Brielle Stark since spring of 2019. Caroline has received one of the highest undergraduate honors in the College of Arts and Sciences, a 2020 Executive Dean’s Award for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity, for her project focused on gesture usage in speakers with and without aphasia. Caroline's work was accepted at two international conferences this year. Please join us in congratulating Caroline, who will be pursuing her MA at Northwestern University next year.

Jasmine Orr

Jasmine Orr

Jasmine Orr, a graduating MA student in the Speech-Language Pathology program, has been a Research Assistant in the lab since fall 2018 and also completed a thesis with Dr. Karen Forrest evaluating the usage of iPad-based apraxia of speech treatment in a client with Broca’s aphasia and apraxia of speech. Jasmine was recently awarded the William H. Earles Award.

Madison Neumann

Madison Neumann

Madison Neumann, a graduating MA student in the Speech-Language Pathology program, has been a Research Assistant in the lab since fall 2018 and also completed a thesis with Dr. Brielle Stark evaluating the perception of internal mood in persons with aphasia. She was awarded the Norvelle Master’s Student Achievement Award by the Department.
