NEURAL Lab awarded Catalyst Prize!
The NEURAL Research Lab has been awarded a Catalyst Phase Prize from the National Academy of Medicine’s Healthy Longevity Global Competition! This funding, for $50,000, will support PI Stark and her Co-Is at the University of Alabama, Drs. Sharlene Newman and Yanyu Xiong, in a project titled: “Identifying language biomarkers to flag prodromal cognitive decline in at risk and underserved aging populations.” The goal of this project is to identify objective measures of subjective cognitive decline through the use of low-cost, easily acquired speech and language assessments.
